THE FOUR PILLARS
In Christian tradition, the Four Evangelists are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the authors attributed with the creation of the four canonical Gospel accounts. In the New Testament, they bear the following titles: the Gospel of Matthew; the Gospel of Mark; the Gospel of Luke; and the Gospel of John. The original founders of The Grace Baptist Church Men’s Ministry used these four pillars, to establish a successful program.
MATTHEW
(Andreaus Evans)

Emphasize discipleship and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20), encouraging men to spread the gospel and make disciples.
Serve as the Men Assimilation Coordinator; as one of the initial contacts for new men to provide basic information about Grace Baptist Church, other ministries, and The Men’s Ministry.
Providing orientation and guidance to new members.

Offering and facilitating introductions as needed.
​
Provides logistics, media, and communication support.
​
Follow-up and care.
​
Tracking and reporting.
MARK
(Darryl Sankey)
​
Focus on servant leadership, following Jesus’ example— “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve…” (Mark 10:45).
Outreach and evangelism.
​
Develop spiritual growth and discipleship.
​
Leads intercessory prayer efforts for men, families, and church initiatives.
​
Establish a prayer covering for all ministry activities.
LUKE
(Darren Smith)
​
Promote compassion, inclusiveness, and care for the marginalized, as seen in Jesus’ parables and interactions (Luke 10:25-37; Luke 15).
​
Promotes physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional health and wellness.
​
Meal preparation
​
Coordinates activities such as fitness groups, walking/running activities, and wellness seminars.
JOHN
(Correggio Peagler)
​
Foster a deep, personal relationship with Christ, emphasizing love, unity, and faith (John 13:34-35; John 15).
​
Promotes brotherhood, fraternity, and fellowship.
​
Provides opportunities for mentorship, leadership, and career development.
​
Strengthen men’s roles as husbands, fathers, employees, financial managers, entrepreneurs, and Grace volunteers.
